<br />OAS: sh <br /> <br />5/15/86 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />MAY 1 9 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE STREET SLURRY SEALING <br />("SLURRY SEAL PROGRAM") 1985-86; REJECTING ALL OTHER <br />BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10213 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10188, adopted April 21, <br /> <br />1986, the City Clerk called for bids for the Street Slurry <br /> <br />Sealing ("Slurry Seal Program") 1985-86; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Valley Slurry Seal Company, Sacramento, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award bid to said Valley Slurry Seal <br /> <br />Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLO\vS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Valley Slurry Seal Company in the sum of One <br /> <br />Hundred Forty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-eight and 06/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($147,758.06) <br /> <br />computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated May 12, 1986, for the Slurry Seal Program 1985-86, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared <br /> <br />to be the lowest bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and to execute, with attestation by the City Clerk, <br /> <br />for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain <br /> <br />agreement entitled, "Agreement," by and on behalf of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City and Valley Slurry Seal Company, for the performance <br /> <br />10213 <br />
