<br />DAS: sh <br />DAS: sh <br /> <br />4/7/86 <br />4/7/86R <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1 0 174 <br /> <br />APR <br /> <br />7 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION <br />COMMISSION TO URGE CALIFORNIA TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION <br />TO MAINTAIN FUNDING FOR HOLLY STREET - BAYSHORE FREEWAY <br />LANDSCAPING PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo, the City of Redwood City <br />and the City of San Carlos are working with the State of <br /> <br />California (Department of Transportation) to modify the Holly <br /> <br />Street Interchange on State Highway Route 101 in San Mateo County <br /> <br />("Improvements"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these Improvements are necessary for traffic flow <br /> <br />and safety; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo, the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and the City of San Carlos have committed over Two Million One <br /> <br />Hundred Thirty Nine Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($2,139,000.00) <br /> <br />of the estimated Three Million Seven Hundred Thousand and No/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($3,700,000.00) needed for the Improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the lack of landscaping in the Improvement area is <br /> <br />a blight and is having a severe negative impact upon adjacent <br /> <br />residential and commercial areas in the County of San Mateo, the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and the City of San Carlos; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation and <br /> <br />California Transportation Commission have previously approved and <br /> <br />committed funds for landscaping the Improvements area; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />10174 <br />
