· · 8/31/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> (07/20/98) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13443 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Frfands for Youth, Inc. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Frisnds for Youth, Inc. is a privatel non-profit organization that provides service to at <br /> risk youth by creating and cultivating long term, one to one friendships with adult volunteer mentors, which <br /> services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Friends for Youth, Inc., has requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting <br /> its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998 and ending June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br /> <br /> agreement with Friends for Youth, Inc. to provide financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 7/20/98), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> Friends for Youth, Inc. a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy <br /> reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
