8/31/98 <br /> <br /> 0RI'GINAL <br /> (07/20/98) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13440 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Mills Peninsula Senior Focus (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of San <br /> Mateo County) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mills Peninsula Senior Focus (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of San Mateo <br />Oounty) is a private, non-profit organization that provides volunteer opportunities for people age 55 and <br />older with a myriad of experience and interests from all economic, educational, and social backgrounds, <br />which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mills Peninsula Senior Focus (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of San Mateo <br />County), has requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 1998 and ending June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Mills Peninsula Senior Focus (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of San Mateo <br /> <br />County) to provide financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 7/20/98), by and between the City of Redwood City and Mills <br /> Peninsula Senior Focus (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of San Mateo County) a copy of which <br /> agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full <br /> particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
