8/31/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> (07/20/98) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13439 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization that <br />provides lunch program for seniors, information and referral, transportation, special programs, health <br />screening, social events, Brown Bag Program, and Thrift shop, which services are in furtherance of the <br />public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc., has requested financial assistance for <br />use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998 and ending June 30, <br />1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. to provide financial assistance in furtherance <br />of its public purposes; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 7/20/98), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br /> Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br /> Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br /> City. <br /> <br /> <br />
