· · 8/31/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> (07/20/98) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13437 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County is a private, non-profit organization that <br /> provides legal services to the poor and disadvantaged of San Mateo County, which services are in <br /> furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, has requested financial assistance for use <br /> by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998 and ending June 30, 1999; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br /> agreement with Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County to provide financial assistance in furtherance of its <br /> public purposes; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 7/20/98), by and between the City of Redwood City and Legal <br /> Aid Society of San Mateo County a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br /> which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager <br /> is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
