0 R I G I N A L 8/31/98 <br /> <br /> (07/20/98) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13429 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Center for the Independence of the Disabled <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Center for the Independence of the Disabled is a private, non-profit organization that <br />provides volunteers in money management; peer counseling, personal attendant referral; and independent <br />living skills, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit;, which services are <br />in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Center for the Independence of the Disabled, has requested financial assistance for <br />use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998 and ending June 30, <br />1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Center for the Independence of the Disabled to provide financial assistance in furtherance <br />of its public purposes; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 7/20/98), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> Center for the Independence of the Disabled a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br /> Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br /> Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br /> city. <br /> <br /> <br />
