0 R I G I N A L 8/31/98 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13413 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1998-1999 COST <br /> SHARED SIDEWALK REPAIR PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br /> DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13379, adopted duly 6, 1998, the <br /> City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1998-1999 Cost Shared Sidewalk Repair <br /> Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, three bids were received for <br /> the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, J.W. Riley & Son, Inc. of Emeryville, California is the lowest <br /> responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award <br /> <br /> said bid to J.W. Riley & Son, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of J.W. Riley & Son, Inc. in the amount of One Hundred Sixty- <br /> <br />two Thousand Fifty and No/J00 Dollars ($'162,050.00), computed in accordance <br />with bidder's proposal dated August '12, 1998 for the '1998-'1999 Cost Shared <br />Sidewalk Repair Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found <br />and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
