7/27/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13390 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF 3 USED <br /> PASSENGER VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN <br /> CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, this <br />Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City relating to competitive bidding for the hereinafter <br />described purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department requires the acquisition of three (3) <br />used passenger vehicles for undercover law enforcement purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of said used <br />passenger vehicles in an amount not to exceed Seventy Thousand and No/100 <br />Dollars ($70,000.00); <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
