<br />~~C:sh 10/25/85 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10048 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />OCT 2 8 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />EMERGENCY AGREEMENT WITH WENRICK & ASSOCIATES FOR <br />REPAIRS TO REDWOOD SHORES POTABLE WATER TRANSMISSION <br />PIPELINE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon consideration of evidence presented to it as <br /> <br />to health and safety hazards presented by the potential for a <br /> <br />break in the Redwood Shores potable water transmistion line, this <br /> <br />Council desires to proceed with all necessary repairs of said <br /> <br />line; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a proposal was informally solicited by the <br /> <br />Department of Public Works, and received from Wenrick & <br /> <br />Associates, for the necessary repairs to the Redwood Shores <br /> <br />potable water transmission pipeline; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 68 of the Charter <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City, relating to emergenies, and in <br /> <br />accordance with the provisions of Section 2.76 of the Redwood <br /> <br />City Code, this Council has, on motion duly made on the <br /> <br />affirmative vote of at least five (5) members of said Council, <br /> <br />suspended the requirements of said Code relating to formal <br /> <br />bidding procedures with regard to the agreement hereinafter <br /> <br />approved. <br /> <br />2. That certain agreement, entitled "Agreement" (form <br /> <br />dated October 25, 1985) by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and Wenrick & Associates, for the repair of portions of the <br /> <br />10048 <br />
