<br />SWC:sh 9/11/85 <br />5(P 1 ti 1985 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10001 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH FORUM ON COMMUNITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT <br />FOR FUNDING OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD BOARDS PROGRAM, AND <br />RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 9978 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Forum on Community and the Environment, <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />California non-profit corporation, has been established for the <br /> <br />principal purpose of improving neighborhood and community <br /> <br />education and promoting economic opportunities of benefit to and <br /> <br />in furtherance of the public order, health and welfare; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City has found <br /> <br />and determined that the Neighborhood Boards Program so operated <br /> <br />and conducted by said corporation is of general value to the <br /> <br />residents of the City of Redwood City, and will result in public <br /> <br />benefit to the whole community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to contribute to Forum on <br /> <br />Communi ty and the Environment, the sum of Twenty Thousand and <br /> <br />No/I00 Dollars ($20,000.00) during the fiscal year July 1, 1985, <br /> <br />through June 30, 1986; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That certain agreement (form dated 8/1/85), by and <br /> <br />between the City of Redwood City and Forum on Community and the <br /> <br />Environment, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office <br /> <br />of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for <br /> <br />full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br /> <br />1 000 1 <br />
