<br />DCB:sh 8/8/85 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9976 <br /> <br />AUG 1 Z 1985 <br />OI?!GINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR EXTERIOR LEVEE CONSTRUCTION, <br />AREA "E" REDWOOD SHORES; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9938, adopted July 15, <br /> <br />1985, the City Clerk called for bids for exterior levee <br /> <br />construction, Area "E", Redwood Shores; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, MC GUIRE AND HESTER, Oakland, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award said bid to said McGuire and Hester; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of McGuire and Hester in the amount of Four <br /> <br />Hundred Sixty Three Thousand Two Hundred Fifteen and 00/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($463,215.00), more or less, computed in accordance with <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated August 6, 1985, for the exterior levee <br /> <br />construction, Area "E", Redwood Shores is hereby accepted and <br /> <br />said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated 8/8/85) by <br /> <br />o Q 7' ., <br />J./ b <br />,,' <br />
