<br />DCB:sh 8/5/85 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 997 1 <br /> <br />AUG 12 1985 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF COMMUNICATIONS <br />EQUIPMENT THROUGH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is a participant in <br /> <br />county-wide law enforcement and fire communications systems; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the equipment used by all agencies participating in <br /> <br />each communication system must be compatible; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City must purchase various communications <br /> <br />components for use in each county-wide system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has, following bidding <br /> <br />procedures similar to those required by Article VII, commencing <br /> <br />with Section 2.63 of the Redwood City Code, selected a vendor to <br /> <br />supply communications equipment to the County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is willing to act as the <br /> <br />agent of the City of Redwood City for the purpose of purchasing <br /> <br />compatible communications equipment to effectively enable the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City to participate in the county-wide systems; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to substitute the County of <br /> <br />San Mateo's bidding procedures for those of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />Ci ty, and to designate the County of San Mateo as the City's <br /> <br />agent for the purpose of purchasing the aforesaid communications <br /> <br />equipment and local government radio communications equipment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />9971 <br />
