6/8/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13355 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1997-1998 SEWER <br /> MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN <br /> OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13323, adopted April 27, 1998, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1997-1998 Sewer Main Replacement <br />Project, Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Howard Engineering. of Burlingame, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to Howard Engineering; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Howard Engineering in the amount of Three Hundred Thirty <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($330,000.00), computed in accordance with <br />bidder's proposal dated May 26, 1998, for the 1997-1998 Sewer Main <br />Replacement Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
