~ 6-8-98 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13353 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COPS MORE FEDERAL <br /> AUTOMATION GRANT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN <br /> AUTOMATION SYSTEM AND ACCEPTING CONDITIONS <br /> THEREOF <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, has applied for a COPS MORE <br />Automation Grant (the "Automation Grant"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City applied for the Automation Grant <br />through the Southern San Mateo County Police Consortium, a consortium of <br />municipalities which includes the cities of Belmont, Foster City, Redwood City, <br />San Carlos and the town of Hillsborough; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Redwood City has been awarded the sum of One <br /> Million One Hundred Eighty Eight Thousand Six Hundred Forty Three Dollars <br /> and No/100 ($1,188,643.00) under the Automation Grant; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the guidelines of the Automation Grant provide that the City <br /> is required to signify its acceptance of the Automation Grant by adopting a <br /> resolution; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> I.
