5/11/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13340 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING ONE YEAR ACTION PLAN FOR <br /> THE CONSOLIDATED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br /> GRANT PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> (APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE - <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS AND HOME <br /> INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP GRANTS); CERTIFYING THAT <br /> THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED CITIZEN <br /> PARTICIPATION PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO <br /> (FISCAL YEAR 1998-99) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program, <br />authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of <br />1974, (P.L. 93-383), as amended (Uthe Act"), requires that jurisdictions receiving <br />federal funds develop a Consolidated Community Development Block Grant Plan <br />(~Consolidated Plan") to provide for the issuance of grants in order to attain the <br />objective of the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent <br />housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic <br />opportunities, principally for persons of Iow or moderate income; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council has received and reviewed a One Year Action Plan <br />for the City's Consolidated Plan (consisting of an application to the United States <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development) for monies to be appropriated <br />for a Community Development Block Grant and a HOME Investment Partnership <br />Grant for the period July 1, 1998, through June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Community Development has prepared a <br />Notice of Determination, signifying that the Community Development Block Grant <br /> <br />Reso-199 <br />DES:djk <br />4/27/98 <br />F:$hare~Redwood/Council <br /> <br /> <br />
