5/4/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13333 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR ACQUISITION TO ACQUIRE <br /> AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR SPECIAL NEEDS POPULATION <br /> <br /> (KAINOS HOME AND TRAINING CENTER) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Kainos Home and Training Center (Contractor) conducts <br />a program to provide independent living for developmentally disabled adults for <br />residents of the City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />acquire the property to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Fifty Seven Thousand, Five <br />Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($57,500.00) from its Community Development <br />Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented <br />to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, Agreement with Kainos Home and <br />Training Center for Funding to Acquire Affordable Housing for Special Needs <br /> <br /> <br />
