- ORIGINAL - <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> HOMELESS PREVENTION AND EVICTION DEFENSE PROJECT <br /> <br /> (LA RAZA CENTRO LEGAL, INC.) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~,~---~ day of <br />~X36,-~.~ . 1999, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, (City), and LA RAZA CENTRO <br />LEGAL, INC., a California nonprofit corporation (Contractor); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a homeless prevention and eviction defense <br />project for persons who reside in the City (the Pi'ogram); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1999, and <br />ending June 30, 2000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor <br />the sum of Twenty-two Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($22,000.00) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Twenty- <br />two Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($22,000.00) for exclusive use by Contractor during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1999, and ending June 30, 2000, solely for the <br />purposes described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br />10/15/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
