<br />DCB:sh 7/1/85 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9941 <br /> <br />OR\G\NAL <br />JUL 1 5 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORI ZING SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO <br />CALIFORNIA PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION FOR APPROVAL OF <br />RELOCATION OF SEAPORT COURT AT GRADE ACROSS SOUTHERN <br />PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY'S RAILROAD TRACKS IN THE <br />VICINITY OF SEAPORT BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Railroad Company is the owner <br /> <br />of certain railroad tracks in the vicinity of Seaport Boulevard <br /> <br />in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to relocate a <br /> <br />street, Seaport Court, at grade across the railroad tracks of <br /> <br />Southern Pacific Railroad Company in the aforementioned area of <br /> <br />the City, which is shown on Exhibit" A" attached hereto and <br /> <br />incorporated herein by this reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Code requires that all <br /> <br />proposed public roads, highways, and streets to be constructed <br /> <br />across the track of any railroad corporation at grade receive the <br /> <br />prior approval of the Public Utilities Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />authorize an application be submitted to the Public Utili ties <br /> <br />Commission requesting approval of a modification to grade <br /> <br />crossing No. EA 28.1-C; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That an application requesting the <br /> <br />Public Utilities <br /> <br />Commission's approval to relocate Seaport Court at grade across <br /> <br />the railroad tracks of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company in <br /> <br />9 ~41 <br />
