<br />DCB:sh 7/10/85 <br /> <br />ORiGINAL <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9935 <br /> <br />JUL 1 5 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS <br />PROGRAM FISCAL YEAR 1984-85; <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS; AND DIRECTING <br />READVERTISE THE PROJECT <br /> <br />FOR THE HANDICAP RAMP <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />STAFF TO REDESIGN AND <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9889, adopted June 3, <br /> <br />1985, the City Clerk called for bids for the Handicap Ramp <br /> <br />Program for Fiscal Year 1984-85; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said improvement <br /> <br />project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the attached bids received all exceeded the <br /> <br />estimated cost of Handicap Ramp Program for the 1984-85 fiscal <br /> <br />year plus two out of three bids received did not meet Federal <br /> <br />Affirmation Action requirements; and <br /> <br />vmEREAS, it would be advantageous for the City to include <br /> <br />money allocated for the 1984-85 fiscal year with the 1985-86 <br /> <br />Fiscal Year Handicap Ramp Program for potential cost savings; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Any and all bids requested pursuant to Resolution 9889, <br /> <br />adopted June 3, 1985, are rejected due to bids exceeding <br /> <br />estimated costs for Project and increased cost savings by the <br /> <br />City by readvertising the Project to incorporate 1985-86 Handicap <br /> <br />Ramp Program with previous fiscal year's Handicap Ramp program. <br /> <br />9935 <br />
