<br />16-021 <br /> <br />WMAM:SSD:els 07/1~/85 l5c <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />NO.9929 <br /> <br />JUL 1 5 1985 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS AND APPROVING, <br />CONFIRMING AND ADOPTING CITY MANAGER' S REPORT <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />SEAPORT CENTRE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, <br />California, that <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1895, <br />adopted by this Council on April 16, 1984, and the applicable <br />provlslons of Chapter 26, Part 3, Division 7 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code of the State of California, said Council did on June 17, <br />1985, adopt A Resolution of Intention to Order the Levy of Benefit <br />Assessments Using the Alternative Method, Approving City Manager's <br />Report, and Providing for Notice of Hearing Thereon~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Council did declare in said Resolution of <br />Intention its intention to order that the amount necessary to pay the <br />costs and expenses of maintaining and operating the levees, storm drain <br />system improvements, water facilities, sanitary sewer facilities and <br />associated public improvements within the Seaport Centre Maintenance <br />District (herein sometimes the "District") as more particularly <br />described in its Resolution No. 9859, adopted April 27, 1985, be raised <br />by the levy of an annual special benefit assessment apportioned <br />according to benefits among the several lots or parcels of property. <br />within said District in accordance with the formula therefor which was <br />approved and is more particularly set forth in said Resolution No. 9859 <br />in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions for the alternative <br />method for the levy of special benefit assessments in maintenance <br />districts in said City as provided in its Ordinance No. 1895; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager of said City did cause to be prepared <br />and filed with the City Clerk of said City a written report which <br />provides the basis for the levy of special benefit assessments on all <br />lots or parcels of property within the District to pay for the costs <br />and expenses of maintenance and operation. Said report also sets <br />forth the amounts to be provided in the budget for maintenance and <br />operation, a description of each lot or parcel of property by a legal <br />description, assessor's parcel number or other description sufficient <br />to identify the same, and the amount of the assessment to be levied for <br />the fiscal year 1985-1986 against each lot or parcel of property; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Council did in said Resolution of Intention <br />approve said report and direct that it be open to public inspection; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, notice of hearing any and all protests in relation to <br />said report was given by causing a Notice of Hearing to be duly <br />posted, published and mailed in the time, form and manner provided by <br />said Ordinance No. 1895, all as more particularly appears from the <br /> <br />9929 <br />
