16-021 WMAM:SSD:els 07/1~/85 l5c RESOLUTION NO.9929 JUL 1 5 1985 A RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS AND APPROVING, CONFIRMING AND ADOPTING CITY MANAGER' S REPORT ORIGINAL SEAPORT CENTRE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, that WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1895, adopted by this Council on April 16, 1984, and the applicable provlslons of Chapter 26, Part 3, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, said Council did on June 17, 1985, adopt A Resolution of Intention to Order the Levy of Benefit Assessments Using the Alternative Method, Approving City Manager's Report, and Providing for Notice of Hearing Thereon~ WHEREAS, said Council did declare in said Resolution of Intention its intention to order that the amount necessary to pay the costs and expenses of maintaining and operating the levees, storm drain system improvements, water facilities, sanitary sewer facilities and associated public improvements within the Seaport Centre Maintenance District (herein sometimes the "District") as more particularly described in its Resolution No. 9859, adopted April 27, 1985, be raised by the levy of an annual special benefit assessment apportioned according to benefits among the several lots or parcels of property. within said District in accordance with the formula therefor which was approved and is more particularly set forth in said Resolution No. 9859 in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions for the alternative method for the levy of special benefit assessments in maintenance districts in said City as provided in its Ordinance No. 1895; WHEREAS, the City Manager of said City did cause to be prepared and filed with the City Clerk of said City a written report which provides the basis for the levy of special benefit assessments on all lots or parcels of property within the District to pay for the costs and expenses of maintenance and operation. Said report also sets forth the amounts to be provided in the budget for maintenance and operation, a description of each lot or parcel of property by a legal description, assessor's parcel number or other description sufficient to identify the same, and the amount of the assessment to be levied for the fiscal year 1985-1986 against each lot or parcel of property; WHEREAS, said Council did in said Resolution of Intention approve said report and direct that it be open to public inspection; WHEREAS, notice of hearing any and all protests in relation to said report was given by causing a Notice of Hearing to be duly posted, published and mailed in the time, form and manner provided by said Ordinance No. 1895, all as more particularly appears from the 9929
