MOORE <br /> <br />OI'~IGINAL <br />APR 1 5 1985 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council was saddened to learn of the passing of <br /> <br /> <br />Helen C. Moore, former Clerk-Treasurer-Collector of the City of <br /> <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Helen Moore commenced serving the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City as Secretary to the City Manager in 1947; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Helen was appointed to the position of City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />in April, 1960, and thereafter in August, 1962, was appointed to <br /> <br />the consolidated office of Clerk-Treasurer-Collector; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, following 22 years of service, in October, 1969 <br /> <br /> <br />Helen retired from public service with the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a loyal and dedicated employee and officer of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City, Helen Moore guided and protected the <br /> <br />financial interests of the City with the highest degree of <br /> <br />proficiency; and <br />WHEREAS, Helen Moore is also remembered for her integrity <br />and the professional expertise she brought to each task; and <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting that this Council pause in its <br />deliberations to honor the memory of Helen C. Moore for the many <br />contributions she made to the City of Redwood City as a member of <br />its official family and as a citizen; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />9855 <br />
