<br />DCB:sh 3/29/85 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. 9 83 9 <br /> <br />APR 1 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING EXTENSION OF BAYFRONT EXPRESSWAY <br />AS A PRINCIPAL ARTERIAL UNDER THE FEDERAL-AID URBAN <br />SYSTEM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City entered into a Master <br /> <br />Agreement for Federal-Aid Program (hereinafter "F.A.U.") on <br /> <br />November 3, 1977 pursuant to the Federal-Aid Urban System <br /> <br />Projects with the State of California: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council seeks an addition to F.A.U. for the <br /> <br />inclusion of the extension of Bayfront Expressway as a principal <br /> <br />arterial; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under regulations issued by the Secretary of <br /> <br />Transportation under the Federal-Aid Highway Act (Title 23 U.S. <br /> <br />Code), the City of Redwood City with the concurrence of the <br /> <br />California Department of Transportation has been designated to <br /> <br />select a Federal-Aid Urban System in the City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council concurs in and approves the addition of <br /> <br />the extension of Bayfront Expressway as shown on Exhibit "A", <br /> <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, as a <br /> <br />principal arterial under Federal-Aid Urban System eligible for <br /> <br />Federal-Aid in the City of Redwood City, State of California, <br /> <br />subject to the concurrence of the California Department of <br /> <br />Transportation and approval of the Federal Highway Administrator. <br /> <br />9 8 ~~ ( <br />
