DCB:sh 3/19/85 <br />6RIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION N0. 9838 NAR 25 7985 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING LEASE FOR SANITARY <br />SEWER FORCE MAIN (REDWOOD SHORES) FROM STATE LANDS <br />COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City approved the Tentative Map <br />for Sandpiper Subdivision Unit No. 1 (Area "E" Redwood Shores), <br />which proposed an abandonment of a portion of Radio Road in order <br />to develop an extension of the interior waterway; and <br />WHEREAS, the extension of the interior waterway requires the <br />relocation and reconstruction of an existing sewer force main <br />between Pump Station No. 10 and SBSA Treatment Plant; and <br />WHEREAS, the new alignment of the sewer force main crosses <br />state property and the City has requested and has been granted an <br />easement by the State for forty-nine (49) years for the purpose <br />of these sewer line improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into the forty-nine (49) <br />year lease of this parcel; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain lease by and between the City of Redwood City <br />and State of California State Lands Commission, a copy of which <br />is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this <br />reference, is hereby approved and accepted, and the Mayor is <br />hereby authorized to execute all documents required to lease said <br />land for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />
