<br />ST''::djg-c 2/28/85 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9817 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />MAR 4 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />WITH SPACE MASTER INTERNATIONAL FOR LEASE OF ADDITIONAL <br />MODULAR STRUCTURE FOR TEMPORARY HOUSING OF FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />PERSONNEL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9493, adopted December <br /> <br />12, 1983, this Council approved and authorized execution of an <br /> <br />emergency agreement with Space Master International for lease of <br /> <br />a modular building for temporary relocation of Fire Department <br /> <br />personnel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Fire Department employees have been occupying <br /> <br />said leased structure for approximately one year and have found <br /> <br />such accommodations to be unreasonably confining; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Chief has solicited a proposal from Space <br /> <br />Master International for an additional module which would be <br /> <br />compatible with the existing module currently used by Fire <br /> <br />Department <br /> <br />personnel, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Space <br /> <br />Master <br /> <br />International <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />submitted a proposal which is acceptable to this Council; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.76 of the <br /> <br />Redwood City Code, this Council has, on motion duly made on the <br /> <br />affirmative votes of at least five members of said Council, <br /> <br />suspended the requirements of said Code relating to soliciting <br /> <br />three proposals for the lease agreement hereinafter approved, on <br /> <br />the basis that the leased equipment must be compatible with, and <br /> <br />981 7 <br />
