<br />SWC:sh 11/20/84 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. 9 737 <br /> <br />NOV 2 6 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCE FOR DRIVEWAY AT 1090 MILLS <br />WAY PURSUANT TO SECTION 29.29 OF THE REDWOOD CITY CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 29.29 of the <br /> <br />Code of the City of Redwood City, Mr. James A. Old has applied <br /> <br />for a variance from the provisions of Article II of Chapter 29 of <br /> <br />said Code for the construction of a driveway serving property <br /> <br />located at 1090 Mills Way, in Redwood City, California, based <br /> <br />upon findings of practical difficulties and unnecessary hardships <br /> <br />in the way of carrying out the strict letter of said Code <br /> <br />provisions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that the granting of <br /> <br />the variance will fulfill the purposes of said Article II of said <br /> <br />Chapter 29, and will secure the public safety, and promote <br /> <br />substantial justice; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds that: <br /> <br />(a) The site is located at the terminus of a <br /> <br />cul-de-sac; <br /> <br />(b) The location has low pedestrian traffic; <br /> <br />(c) The <br /> <br />wider <br /> <br />driveway <br /> <br />requested <br /> <br />will <br /> <br />enhance <br /> <br />containment of truck deliveries entirely behind <br /> <br />the property line without any disruption of <br /> <br />on-site parking or traffic flow; <br /> <br />9 737 <br />
