O R I G I N A L 12/8/97 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13262 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING POLICY AND GUIDELINES FOR <br />SPEED HUMP USE <br />WHEREAS, "speed humps" have been recognized by professional traffic <br />engineers as a suitable design feature for providing traffic safety under <br />appropriate circumstances; and <br />WHEREAS, that certain document entitled, "City of Redwood City Policy <br />and Guidelines for Speed Hump Use ", prepared by Smith Engineering and <br />Management, of Union City, California, has been presented to, and reviewed by, <br />this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, said Policy and Guidelines describes appropriate roadway <br />circumstances and design requirements for speed humps applicable in the City <br />of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve said Policy and Guidelines; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain document entitled, "City of Redwood City Policy and <br />Guidelines for Speed Hump Use ", including, without limitation, the design and <br />construction considerations (standards) set forth therein, prepared by Smith <br />Engineering and Management, Union City, California, a copy of which document <br />is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made <br />Reso -338 <br />G:\shared\redwood\cound1 <br />DES:djk <br />12/03/97 <br />
