TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT OF 1977 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to initiate proceedings for <br /> <br />the annexation hereinafter described; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />a municipal corporation of the State of California, hereby <br /> <br />resolves, determines and requests as follows: <br /> <br />1. Application and a proposal is hereby made to the <br /> <br />Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Mateo <br /> <br />("LAFCO") for a change of organization as follows: <br /> <br />(a) This proposal is made pursuant to the Municipal <br /> <br />Organization Act of 1977 (commencing with Government Code <br /> <br />Section 35000). <br /> <br />(b) The nature of the proposed change of organization <br /> <br />hereby proposed is the annexation of unincorporated territory <br /> <br />within San Mateo County to the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />(c) There are no other affected counties, cities or <br /> <br />districts. <br /> <br />(d) The territory included within this proposal is found <br /> <br />to be uninhabited. <br /> <br />(e) A map and legal description of the exterior boundaries <br /> <br />of said territory are attached hereto as "Exhibit A" and are made <br /> <br />a part hereof by this reference. <br /> <br />9507 <br />
