0 R I G I N A L 11/3/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13245 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR THE FUNDING OF CALMING DEVICE <br /> MITIGATION MEASURES <br /> <br /> (MID POINT TECHNOLOGY PARK) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 17, 1996, the Planning Commission of the City <br />of Redwood City certified an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) addressing the <br />development of six (6) buildings totaling approximately 468,855 square feet of <br />office/research & development (R&D) uses (the "Project") on the property located <br />along Broadway and bounded by Douglas Avenue, Second Street, and Bay <br />Road in Redwood City, California (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the EIR included a traffic analysis (the "EIR Traffic Analysis") <br />which identified the Project's traffic impacts and, among other things, <br />recommended mitigation measures which include the installation of traffic <br />calming features or diverting elements to reduce traffic impacts to the Friendly <br />Acres Neighborhood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 17, 1996, the Planning Commission of the City <br />adopted a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for the Project (the <br />"Monitoring Program") which included revised mitigation measures for the Project <br />traffic impacts to Woodside Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notwithstanding that City has not yet conducted a final study <br />on traffic calming mitigation measures to take place within the Friendly Acres <br /> <br /> F:~shared\Redwood\Council\ 1 <br /> Reso-327 <br /> FXS:rg <br /> 10/29/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
