0 R I G I N A L 11/3/97 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13242 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR VA HOMELESS TRANSITIONAL SHELTER <br /> <br /> (VETERANS WORKSHOP OF THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Veterans Workshop of the Veterans Administration. <br />("Contractor") conducts a transitional shelter program for homeless veterans, <br />families and single persons who reside in the City of Redwood City (the <br />"Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and <br />ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars <br />($15,000.00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the <br />foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br /> presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> VVHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br /> agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
