ORIGINAL <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY Page 1 of 3 <br />UTILITY AGREEMENT <br />Caltrans File Identification: EA 236800, District 04, San Mateo County, Route 101, KP 14.9/18.9 <br />Federal Aid No.: RPSTPL-5029(013) <br />UTILITY AGREEMENT NO.: 1571.2 DATE: March 1, 2004 <br />PNt ~-~- 3 0 3 8 9/ 5' 2 <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, acting by and through the California Department of Transportation, hereinafter called <br />"CITY," proposes to improve the Ralston Avenue Interchange on State Route 101, converting it from full cloverleaf to <br />partial cloverleaf configuration with an additional north bound on ramp and realigning Island Pazkway to intersect <br />Marine Parkway at the new north bound off-ramp signalized intersection. The project lies mostly in the City of <br />Belmont, County of San Mateo. <br />PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC, hereinafter called "OWNER," owns and maintains gas facilities within the limits <br />of CITY's project which requires clearance to accommodate CTTY's project. <br />It is hereby mutually agreed that: <br />I. WORK TO BE DONE: <br />In accordance with Notice to Owner No. 1571.2, as amended, dated January 28, 2004, OWNER shall relocate <br />underground electric longitudinal and transverse facilities for CTTY's construction project. All work shall be <br />performed substantially in accordance with three (3) plan sheets referenced as PM 30286827. Minor <br />deviations from the above-described work may be made and incidental work performed by OWNER's <br />Contractor when mutually acceptable to both parties. <br />II. LIABILITY FOR WORK <br />The cost of relocation of OWNER'S utility facilities as described in Section I above shall be 50 percent CITY <br />and 50 percent OWNER expense in accordance with the Caltrans Master Agreement. <br />Total Estimated Cost $ 650,000.00 <br />CITY liability @ 50 % $ 325,000.00 <br />OWNER liability @ 50 % $ 325,000.00 <br />III. PERFORMANCE OF WORK <br />OWNER agrees to perform the herein-described work with its own forces or to cause the herein-described <br />work to be performed by the OWNER's contractor, employed by written contract on a continuing basis to <br />perform work of this type, and to provide and furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools, and equipment <br />required therefore, and to prosecute said work diligently to completion. <br />
