<br />~C:djg-c 9/16/83 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9444 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 1 9 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION <br />OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION OF LANDS OF REDWOOD MEDICAL <br />CLINIC ET AL. TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (4.57 AC)" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County <br /> <br />of San Mateo (LAFCO) adopted its Resolution No. 682 on August 17, <br /> <br />1983, making determinations and approving the proposed annexation <br /> <br />to the City of Redwood City of the territory described in "Exhibit <br /> <br />A" hereof attached hereto and by this reference incorporated <br /> <br />herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, preliminary proceeding with respect to said <br /> <br />annexation were initially commenced upon petition of Thomas <br /> <br />Hallum, Administrator, Redwood City Medical Clinic, and Kenneth <br /> <br />Joseph, Tri-State Engineering; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the distinctive short form designation assigned by <br /> <br />LAFCO to the territory proposed to be annexed is "Annexation of <br /> <br />Lands of Redwood City Medical Clinic et al. to the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City (4.57 AC)"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, LAFCO has determined that the territory proposed to <br /> <br />be annexed is inhabited; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reason for the proposed annexation, as set forth <br /> <br />in the proposal thereof submitted to LAFCO, is "to allow for the <br /> <br />construction of a parking facility to serve the Redwood Medical <br /> <br />Clinic whose facility is presently within the corporation limits <br /> <br />9444 <br />
