<br />SWC:rb 8/18/83 <br /> <br />Or,I"I!\,'AL <br />diU 1 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9422 <br /> <br />AUG 2 2 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONFIRMING REPORT OF SUPERINTENDENT OF <br />STREETS ON WEED ABATEMENT; OVERRULING PROTESTS THERETO; <br />AND AUTHORIZING ASSESSMENT OF THE COST OF ABATEMENT <br />AGAINST THE PARTICULAR PARCELS CONCERNED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 9269, adopted November 22, 1982, <br /> <br />the City Council declared weeds, rubbish, dirt and rank growths <br /> <br />in the City of Redwood City to be a nuisance, and set January 3, <br /> <br />1983 as the date for all objections to the proposed abatement of <br /> <br />said public nuisance to be heard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due notice therefor having been given as required <br /> <br />by Article IV, Chapter 14, of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City, and no objections having been presented to said proposed <br /> <br />abatement, the City Council acquired jurisdiction to perform the <br /> <br />work of abating said nuisance, and ordered the Superintendent of <br /> <br />Streets to abate said nuisance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Superintendent of Streets has submitted to <br /> <br />this Council of the City of Redwood City for confirmation an <br /> <br />itemized report of the cost of the abatement of weeds, dirt, <br /> <br />rubbish and rank growths from or abutting each separate parcel of <br /> <br />land from which weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths were <br /> <br />removed, and a list of the expenses proposed to be assessed <br /> <br />against said parcels for said abatement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as appears from affidavits on file, the <br /> <br />requirements for posting, publishing and mailing said reports or <br /> <br />portions thereof and the time and place of the hearing thereon <br /> <br />9 !J~2 2 <br />
