<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />JUL 2 5 1983 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />941 0 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE TARGET EDUCATION AND WELFARE <br />COUNCIL, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc., <br /> <br />a California non-profit corporation, has been established for <br /> <br />the principal purpose of improving neighborhood and community <br /> <br />education and promoting economic opportunities of benefit <br /> <br />to and in furtherance of the public order, health and <br /> <br />welfare in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City has found <br /> <br />and determined that the Neighborhood Boards Program so operated <br /> <br />and conducted by said corporation is of general value to the <br /> <br />residents of the City of Redwood City, and will result in <br /> <br />public benefit to the whole community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to contribute to the Target <br /> <br />Education and Welfare Council, Inc., the sum of Eighteen <br /> <br />Thousand Nine Hundred and No/IOO Dollars ($18,900.00) during <br /> <br />the fiscal year July 1, 1983, through June 30, 1984; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/14/83), by and <br /> <br />between the City of Redwood City and the Target Education and <br /> <br />Welfare Council, Inc., a copy of which agreement is on file <br /> <br />in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br /> <br />hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, <br /> <br />and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />9410 <br />
