O R I G I N A L 8/25/97 <br /> (08/25/97) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13171 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County is a private, non-profit organization <br />that provides legal services to the poor and disadvantaged of San Mateo County, which services <br />are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, has requested financial assistance for <br />use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997 and ending <br />June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County to provide financial assistance in <br /> <br />furtherance of its public purposes; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/25/97), by and between the City of Redwood City <br />and Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
