0 R I G I N A L 8/25/97 <br /> (08/25/97) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13169 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single <br /> Parents Program) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents <br />Program) is a private, non-profit organization that provides assistance to alleviate and <br />improve housing conditions of the needy, the disabled, elderly and others whose housing needs <br />are not being adequately met in Redwood City and San Mateo County, which services are in <br />furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents <br />Program), has requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997 and ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents Program) <br /> <br />to provide financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/25/97), by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> and Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents Program)a copy of <br /> which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby <br /> made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
