<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br />Kainos Home and Training Center <br />Vocational Services Center Improvements <br /> <br />THIS AGREfEMENT, made and entered into this ~ day of /?/,e/,6 <br />2007, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Kainos Home and Training Center, a <br />California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor desires to renovate/improve its facility (the "Project), located <br />at 2555 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California, which provides services to individuals <br />with disabilities who are residents of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to complete the <br />Project that will benefit residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and <br />ending June 30,2007; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and the Project and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor the sum of Forty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($40,000) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Project; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Forty <br />Thousand and no/100 ($40,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007, solely for the purposes described in <br />Paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to Paragraph <br />1 solely for the Project purposes described in Exhibits A (Contractor Objectives) and Exhibit <br />B (Budget) and Exhibit C (Environmental Reviews) attached hereto and by this reference <br />incorporated herein. <br /> <br />CDBG/DJT.cje <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />1/31/2007 <br />
