<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />9 311 <br /> <br />CGH:mf 2/18/83 <br />Oi\'IGINAL <br /> <br />~EB 28 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE <br />COUNTY OF SAN MATEO RELATING TO THE CONTRIBUTION OF <br />COUNTY FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE <br />OF VETERANS BOULEVARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City intends to continue to <br /> <br />construct, improve, maintain and repalr Veterans Boulevard <br /> <br />within the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo desires to provide financial <br /> <br />assistance in connection with such municipal improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1680 et seq. of the Streets and Highways <br /> <br />Code provides a procedure whereby the Board of Supervisors of <br /> <br />a county may provide financial assistance to a city if the Board <br /> <br />of Supervisors find that the construction, improvement, maintenance, <br /> <br />or repair of a street within a city is of general county interest; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo <br /> <br />has made such a determination; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and the County of San Mateo in the form of "Exhibit A" <br /> <br />attached hereto for the improvement of Veterans Boulevard is <br /> <br />hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed <br /> <br />9 311 <br />
