<br />f ~:djg-c 1/04/83 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9296 <br /> <br />FEB 7 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MILDRED <br />FRANCO ON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mildred Franco, having well and ably served the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City for over forty-one years, is retiring; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mildred began her career with the City as a Clerk <br /> <br />Typist, dividing her time between the Police Department and the <br /> <br />city Treasurer's office; thereafter working her way up through <br /> <br />the Police Department ranks of Steno Clerk to Police Matron <br /> <br />Secretary to Police Matron Supervisor to Police Secretary II, <br /> <br />and culminating in her present position as Office Supervisor, <br /> <br />in which position she has become a recognized expert in the <br /> <br />handling of law enforcement records; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during her long tenure, Mildred has worked <br /> <br />with all five of Redwood City's Chiefs of Police, and her <br /> <br />expertise and vast knowledge has contributed significantly to <br /> <br />the development of the Police Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mildred will be missed by friends and co-workers; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE I'l' RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />This Council does hereby commend Mildred Franco, does <br /> <br />hereby congratulate her on the occasion of her retirement, and <br /> <br />does extend to her its best wishes for many happy rewarding <br /> <br />years following her retirement. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />ORIGINAL ON PARCHMENT FOR PRESENTATION TO MILDRED FRANCO <br /> <br />0 0 ,...--, <br />/ (1 <br />V ...", <br />
