<br />S\'lC :mf 11/2/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />~Q.92S9 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />NOV 8 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT WITH COUNTY OF SAN MATEO RELATING TO <br />PRISONER TRANSPORT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's Police Department occasionally requires <br /> <br />the transportation of prisoners from other locations within the <br /> <br />State to Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles and the County of San <br /> <br />Mateo have entered into an agreement whereby the Los Angeles <br /> <br />County Sheriff's Department will pick up and deliver prisoners <br /> <br />being held by other law enforcement agencies within the state <br /> <br />to the County of San Mateo; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo and the County of Los Angeles <br /> <br />are willing to extend the aforementioned services to the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City pursuant to the aforementioned agreement, by means of <br /> <br />an agreement between the County of San Mateo and the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to enter into an <br /> <br />agreement with the County of San Mateo for transportation of <br /> <br />Redwood city prisoners; <br /> <br />NOH, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOVlS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Prisoner <br /> <br />Transportation Services" (form dated 11/2/82), by and between <br /> <br />9259 <br />
