DEVELOPMENT AND <br />INVESTMENT CO. (12.34 AC.) AND (.04 AC.) WITHIN <br />WOODSIDE ROAD IN SAN MATEO COUNTY AND LANDS OF <br />NAKANO TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County <br /> <br />of San Mateo (LAFCO) adopted its Resolution No. 654 on April 21, <br /> <br />1982, making determinations and approving the proposed annexation <br /> <br />to the City of Redwood City of the territory described in "Exhibit <br /> <br />A" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated <br /> <br />herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings with respect to said <br /> <br />annexation were initially commenced upon petition of D.K. Development <br /> <br />and Investment Co.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the distinctive short form designation assigned <br /> <br />by LAFCO to the territory proposed to be annexed is "Annexation <br /> <br />of Lands of D.K. Development and Investment Co. (12.34 ac.) and <br /> <br />(.04 ac.) within woodside Road in San Mateo County and Lands of <br /> <br />Nakano to the City of Redwood City;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, LAFCO has determined that the territory proposed <br /> <br />to be annexed, is uninhabited and that annexation by the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City may be undertaken pursuant to the Municipal <br /> <br />Organization Act of 1977; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reason for the proposed annexation, as set <br /> <br />forth in the proposal thereof submitted to LAFCO, is to allow <br /> <br />territory, substantially surrounded by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and substantially developed, to be annexed to facilitate the <br /> <br />9160 <br />
