<br />r:GM:djg-c 6/30/82 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUL 1 2 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 9 15 6 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF <br />STREET MAINTENANCE MATERIALS (ASPHALT EMULSION) <br />FOR 1982-83 FISCAL YEAR; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9128, adopted May 24, <br /> <br />1982, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of <br /> <br />street maintenance materials (asphalt emulsion) for 1982-83 <br /> <br />Fiscal Year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />materials; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Asphalt Service Co., Inc., Martinez, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />materials, and it is the intention of this Council to award <br /> <br />said bid to Asphalt Service Co., Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Asphalt Service Co., Inc., in the amount of <br /> <br />Fifty-five Thousand Two Hundred Fifty and No/lOa Dollars <br /> <br />($55,250.00), more or less, including sales tax, for the <br /> <br />furnishing of street maintenance materials (asphalt emulsion) <br /> <br />for 1982-83 Fiscal Year in accordance with the bidder's <br /> <br />proposal, dated June 15, 1982, and in accordance with the <br /> <br />specifications therefor on file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found <br /> <br />and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for the <br /> <br />9156 <br />
