<br />DES:mf 5/14/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. 9 13 4 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUN : <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL SERVICES FOR EMPLOYER- <br />EMPLOYEE RELATIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers-Milias- <br /> <br />Brown Act (the "Act" [Gov't. C. ~~3500 et seq.]), this City <br /> <br />has designated certain recognized employee organizations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City requires expert personal services pertaining <br /> <br />to employer-employee relations under the Act and for representation <br /> <br />of the City's interests in meeting and conferring or meeting and <br /> <br />consulting with said organizations under the Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City also requires expert consulting services <br /> <br />pertaining to its Workers' Compensation Program and, from time to <br /> <br />time with respect to other personnel-related matters; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Michael Brock is qualified to perform such expert <br /> <br />consulting services as an independent contractor in accordance with <br /> <br />the terms and conditions of the agreement hereinafter described; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Personal <br /> <br />Services for Employer-Employee Relations" (form dated 6/1/82R) <br /> <br />a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the particulars <br /> <br />thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby <br /> <br />authorized and directed to execute said agreement for and on <br /> <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />9 134 <br />
