<br />C'Gl' 'jg-c 4/26/82 <br /> <br />DIP/Dol' NA I <br />, '-4 I ~ "':'" <br /> <br />MAY 3 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />N O. 9 1 0 8 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WHIPPLE AVENUE - ARGUELI.D <br />STREET TRAFFIC SIGNAL MJDIFlCATION PRo.:JOCT; REJECrING ALL OI'HER BIDS <br />ROCEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXEOJTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID mRK; AND <br />DIRECTING REI'URN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9077, adopted March 22, 1982, the <br /> <br />City Clerk called for bids for the construction of the Whipple Avenue - <br /> <br />Arguello Street Traffic Signal M:xUfication Project in the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Steiny and Corrpany, Inc., Vallejo, California, is the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to said Company; <br /> <br />NOO, 'l'HEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOIJ.avS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Steiny and Corrpany, Inc. in the arrount of Forty-two <br /> <br />Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-seven and No/100 Dollars ($42,737.00) computed <br /> <br />in accordance with bidder's proposal dated April 20, 1982, for the construct- <br /> <br />ion of the Whipple Avenue - Arguello Street Traffic Signal M:Jdification <br /> <br />project is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to <br /> <br />be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for the <br /> <br />aboverrentioned work, othen than the bid rrentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are <br /> <br />hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter to and <br /> <br />execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain agreerrent entitled <br /> <br />"Agreement II by and between the City of Redwood City and Steiny and Corrpany, <br /> <br />Inc. for the perfonnance of said work in accordance with the aboverrentioned <br /> <br />bid proposal, a copy of which agreement is presently on file in the office <br /> <br />9108 <br />
