<br />C, :djg-c 3/31/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9 087 <br /> <br />ORiGINAL <br />APR 5 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXAMINATION OF SALES AND USE <br />TAX RECORDS OF THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 7006, adopted September <br /> <br />24, 1973, the City of Redwood City entered into a contract with <br /> <br />the State Board of Equalization to perform all functions incident <br /> <br />to the administration and collection of local sales and use taxes <br /> <br />in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City deems it desirable and necessary from time <br /> <br />to time for a representative of the City to audit the sales and <br /> <br />use tax transactions and collections that are made for the City <br /> <br />by the State Board of Equalization; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 7056 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of <br /> <br />the State of California states in part that the Board of Equal- <br /> <br />ization shall permit any duly authorized officer, or employee <br /> <br />of such city, to examine all of the sales and use tax records <br /> <br />of the city; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the City Manager, Director of Finance, or any <br /> <br />designated assistant or employee of such officers are hereby <br /> <br />appointed to represent the City with full authority to investi- <br /> <br />gate and review sales and use tax transactions and collections <br /> <br />for the City, contained in the records of the State Board of <br /> <br />Equalization. <br /> <br />2.
