<br />CGM:jr 3/22/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9076 <br /> <br />OR\G\NAL <br />MAR 2 2 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF THREE USED VEHICLES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has waived the procedure for the <br /> <br />solicitation of bids, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood <br />City Code for the purchase of three used vehicles (three <br />sedans) due to the fact that purchases of used vehicles must <br /> <br />be made within a very brief time of an offer of a vendor to <br /> <br />sell a used vehicle; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has been advised that the Department <br /> <br />of Finance will thoroughly canvas all used vehicle sources to <br />obtain the lowest possible price for the purchase of the above <br /> <br />described vehicles; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The purchase of three used vehicles (three sedans) is <br /> <br />hereby authorized and the Department of Finance is hereby <br /> <br />directed to contact all available used car sources so that <br /> <br />the lowest possible price for such vehicles will be <br /> <br />obtained. <br /> <br />* .,'( * <br /> <br />9 0"7 E; <br />
