<br />SWC:djg-c 11/30/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9 019 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />DEe 14 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WEED ABATEMENT BY <br />SPRAYING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8988, adopted October 26, <br /> <br />1981, the City Clerk called for bids for the letting of a contract <br /> <br /> <br />for the weed abatement by spraying within year 1981-82; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution, the City Clerk called <br /> <br />for bids for the abatement of weeds by spraying; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HAROLD Y. SHA\\T, dba CUSTOM FARl'HNG, Redwood City, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention <br /> <br />and desire of this Council to award said contract to Custom Farming. <br /> <br />Nm'J, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLmVS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Custom Farming, in the total amount of Seven <br />Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty and No/lOO Dollars ($7,920.00), <br /> <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated November 13, <br /> <br />1981, for the performance of weed abatement by spraying in the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City, California, in accordance with the specifications <br /> <br /> <br />approved by Resolution No. 8988, is hereby accepted. Any irregular- <br /> <br />ities or informalities that may be contained in said bid are hereby <br /> <br />waived. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Red\^,ood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated 11/30/81) <br /> <br /> <br />between the City of Redwood City and Harold Y. Shaw, dba Custom <br /> <br />Farming, for performance of said work in accordance with the above <br /> <br />mentioned specifications, and in accordance with Contractor's <br /> <br />proposal, a copy of which agreement is presently on file in the <br /> <br />office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made <br /> <br />9 019 <br /> <br />--< <br />
