<br />SWC:mf 12/3/81 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />9 012 <br /> <br />DEe 7 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING CONSTRUCTION OF <br />INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION FACILITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Division 10, Part II, Chapter 4 of the <br /> <br />Public Utilities Code of the State of California, cities may <br /> <br />apply to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) <br /> <br />for grants for the construction of the transportation facilities <br /> <br />under the Department's Intermodal Facilities Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is applying to Caltrans <br /> <br />for funds to construct a transportation terminal to accomodate <br /> <br />six (6) modes of transportation (train, bus, auto, bicycles, <br /> <br />vanpool-carpool, taxi) on Franklin Street, between James and <br /> <br />Jefferson Avenues in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS this Council desires to signify its approval and <br /> <br />support for the construction of an intermodal transportation <br /> <br />terminal in the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />This Council does hereby approve the submittal of an <br /> <br />application to the California Department of Transportation and <br /> <br />does hereby give its support and encouragement for the construction <br /> <br />of an intermodal transportation terminal to serve six (6) modes <br /> <br />of transportation in the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />9 012 <br />
