0 R I G I N A L ~21/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13056 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT PRIORITY <br /> DESIGNATION BE GIVEN BY SAN MATEO COUNTY <br /> TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY TO THE WOODSIDE <br /> ROAD/STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE 101 INTERCHANGE <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FOR PURPOSES OF <br /> IMPLEMENTING STATE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT <br /> PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (the <br />"Authority") establishes priorities for the allocation of State Transportation <br />Improvement Program ("STIP") Funds for projects within the County of San <br /> <br />Mateo; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, improvement of the Woodside Road/State Highway Route <br />101 Interchange (the "Woodside Road/Route 101 Project") is necessary to <br />alleviate serious vehicular traffic congestion and related problems endangering <br />the public health, welfare, and safety; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, insufficient STIP Funds have been allocated and provided for <br />the Woodside Road/Route 101 Project, notwithstanding that said Project <br /> <br />deserves a high priority designation; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby recommends and urges that the Authority and the <br />State of California, acting by and through the Business, Transportation, and <br />Housing Agency, Department of Transportation, allocate and/or reallocate, at the <br /> <br />Reso-180 <br />GksharechRedwood~Council <br />DES:rg <br />04/16/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
