0 R I G I N A L +/21/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13053 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REQUESTING SUPPLEMENTAL PRIORITY <br /> ALLOCATION OF BAY AREA TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION <br /> ACT FUNDS ("MEASURE A FUNDS") FOR JEFFERSON <br /> AVENUE UNDERPASS PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (the <br />"Authority") has heretofore allocated revenues (sometimes referred to as <br />"Measure A Funds") received pursuant to authority granted by the Bay Area <br />County Traffic and Transportation Funding Act (Pub. Util. Code §131100, et <br />seq.) on a priority basis for the Jefferson Avenue Underpass Project in the City of <br />Redwood City (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said allocation was based upon estimates and cost <br />projections which, upon the passage of time, have resulted in insufficient funds <br />to construct the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $3 million are required to <br />proceed with the Project in a manner which will address the priority <br />transportation requirements of the City consistent with the policies of the <br /> <br />Authority and the above-mentioned Act; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1.
